Special Needs

At Freedom Driver Education, our philosophy is that most people can get a driving licence if they have someone to walk with them and support them during the learning process. We have seen numerous clients who have tried and failed with other driving instructors but have then passed the test first time with us.

Understanding how learner driver thinks and reacts is a continual challenge especially if that driver has special needs. But we work with each of them to help them achieve their goal of obtaining a driver’s license.

Practice, Practice, Practice, is usually the key, but the use of teaching aids and diagrams helps the client understand.  Getting the client to speak out loud what they see and how they intend to react to a given situation is a very useful tool in helping the slow learner progress.
